The gap we exist to close.
Every serious startup ecosystem in the world has a formation layer. In the United States it took decades to standardise — Delaware C-Corps, YC SAFEs, and a generation of formation tools that made equity, IP, and governance legible to investors.
Africa's founders have been building without that layer. Not because they didn't need it. Because no one built it.

THE FOUNDER
Built from Jos, Plateau State.
EquiTrust was founded by Lamga Pirfa Nden, a 2026 Tony Elumelu Foundation entrepreneur and Africa Impact Challenge participant building in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria.
Lamga built EquiTrust after watching the same collapse happen too many times across the African startup ecosystem. Teams with real ideas and real talent, falling apart before product-market fit — not because the market wasn't there, but because the foundations were never built.
Equity was discussed over WhatsApp and never documented. IP was written by a co-founder who left and took it with them. Roles were assumed, never agreed.
He built EquiTrust from Jos — not from a coastal hub, not from a foreign accelerator — because the infrastructure for African founders has to be built by someone who understands what African founders actually face.
